Christian censer (incense-burner), decorated with crosses. On the lid of the vessel is a model of a circular building (“Rotunda”) which most likely describes the Holy-Sepulchre church, built at the beginning of the fourth century AD in Jerusalem in the place where according to the Christian (Catholic) tradition was the place of Jesus' crucifixion, burial and resurrection. This is the earliest known description of the Church of the Holy Sepulcher or any other church. The Byzantine period.
